Yellow Borneo is a natural and organic alternative to many of those substances in your kitchen counter. I know, it's a bold claim, but hear me out.

Since it's not as potent as some of its other yellow counterparts, Yellow Bornoe is ideal for those who are new to kratom. Also, Yellow Borneo should be used during the day, as using it at night may prevent you from falling asleep.

Allow me to explain literally everything you need to know about Yellow Borneo in this guide to help you decide whether this strain is for you.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The information in our articles are represented solely as the opinions of the respective authors, who do not claim to be medical professionals. We are not medical experts, just kratom enthusiasts.

What Is Yellow Borneo Kratom?

Yellow Borneo is a variation of the kratom tree, which is also known as Mitragyna Speciosa

The tree grows in the tropical regions of Southeast Asia in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, where the equatorial climate is more than ideal for cultivation.

Kratom can be found in four colors, including:

1. Red

2. White

3. Green

4. Yellow / gold

Oddly enough, there is much controversy online regarding how yellow strains are created.

Some people believe they are simply red strains which have gone through a different fermentation process, while others believe they are hybrid mixes of the other 3 strains.

No one knows for sure, but if you were to ask me, I'd go with the latter option.

What Does Yellow Borneo Taste Like?

Yellow Borneo taste very earthy and bitter flavor. Like most greens, yellow strains ten to be very bitter, more so than reds.

To me and my friends it tastes like matcha. If you made Yellow Borneo into a tea, you can mask the taste (a bit) by adding honey or sugar to the beverage.

If you're taking Yellow Borneo via the toss and wash, use cold water, as it will reduce the taste just a tad bit more than luke warm water.

Yellow Borneo Side Effects

If abused, whether intentionally or accidentally, the outcome can be highly unpleasant. Yes, I speak from personal experience.

I've had the misfortune of accidentally inducing kratom side effects on more than one occassion.

Short-Term

Short-term side effects are a direct result of one of two things:

1. Not drinking enough water while taking kratom.

2. Taking too much for your body to handle.

If you make the first mistake, expect:

1. Dry Mouth

2. Constipation

When I experienced these side effects, I immediately drank at least 2-3 cups of water. All I could do afterwards, was wait.

When I made the second mistake of taking too much yellow Borneo, which I made on more than one occassion, I experienced only nausea. However, some people also vomit.

Unfortunately, all I could do to mitigate the side effects was lay down and wait an hour or two until it was over. Yes, it really does feel that bad.

None of the short term side effects are lethal.

Long-Term

Yellow Borneo's long-term side effects are a direct result of consistent use.

Although there is a lack of studies in this particular area, most professionals agree that long-term side effects may include damage to vital organs such as the kidneys and liver.

Yellow Borneo Kratom Dosage

It's very difficult for me to provide you with an exact dosage for Yellow Borneo, as multiple factors come into play. However, I created a table that will provide a good starting point based on your weight.

Those who are new to kratom should not take it twice in the same day, as that will significantly increase the odds of you experiencing side effects.

How Long Does Yellow Borneo Take to Kick In?

The anwer to this question depends on how you decide to use Yellow Borneo in the first place.

For example, capsules take much longer to kick in than tea.

Therefore, check out the table below to get an idea of how long it takes to feel Yellow Borneo's initial effects.

How To Use Yellow Borneo Kratom

By harvesting the leaves at various stages in their maturity, drying them, and grounding them into a fine powder, the leaves can be converted into multiple types of products.

Yellow Borneo Capsules

Pros:

- No bad flavors

Cons:

- Higher cost

- Take the longest to kick in

- Effects are slightly less potent

Capsules are great for those who can't tolerate Yellow Borneo's bitter taste.

Here at Kratom Monkey, each capsule holds 0.7 grams of powder and is made with vegan material to protect those with allergic reactions to animal products.

Yellow Borneo Toss & Wash

Pros:

- Kicks in fast

- Potent results

- Lowest cost

Cons:

- Extremely bitter taste

- Some people may not enjoy the powdery texture

The toss and wash is my favorite way of using Yellow Borneo because of the potent results and how quickly the kick in.

For the toss and wash, take a spoonful of powder, swirl it around your mouth with water, and gulp it down. It's highly unpleasant, but it gets the job done.

Use cold water to (slightly) mitigate the bitter taste.

Yellow Borneo Tea

Pros:

- Kicks in super fast

- Potent results

Cons:

- Effects don't last as long

- Pungent bitter taste

Tea is my least favorite way of using Yellow Borneo because of the inconvenience required for preparation. The flavor is just as bitter as using powder via the toss and wash.

To make tea, boil water separately from kratom powder, then mix them together and allow it to simmer for 5-10 minutes. Filter the powder and enjoy!

Never boil kratom, as doing so will destroy the alkaloids and result in a reduction of potency.

How to Store Yellow Borneo

Storing Yellow Borneo is very easy. The goal is to minimzie its exposure to three elements:

1. Sunlight

2. Heat

3. Humidity

Therefore, the worst places to store Yellow Borneo include:

  • Sinks

  • Bathrooms

  • Ovens

  • Chimneys

  • Heaters

  • Stoves

  • Window sills

  • Cars

Instead, you'll want to store Yellow Borneo in:

  • Closets

  • Pantries

  • Drawers

Failing to properly store Yellow Borneo will result in a reduction of alkaloids and therefore, potency. And let's be real, nobody wants that.

What Is Yellow Borneo's Shelf Life?

I've stored kratom for an entire year and was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't lose its potency. If it did, it was unnoticeable to me.

Therefore, if you follow the storing tips above you can rest assure, Yellow Borneo's shelf-life is a minimum of one year.

However, if you freeze the strain in an air tight container, I'm certain it will last even longer.

Similar Strains to Yellow Borneo

Whenever I use Yellow Borneo for a few consecutive weeks, I develop a condition called, Stagnant Strain, which basically means I now have a high tolerance to that specific strain.

Fortunately, there is a very simple solution that includes rotating strains. I usually only rotate between 2-3 strains, but feel free to rotate between as many as you'd like.

Is Yellow Borneo Kratom Legal?

Yes, Yellow Borneo is legal in the United States, but only under federal law. States and local governments have the right take further action against kratom, and many have.

The following six states have outlawed the use, possession, and distribution of kratom:

1. Alabama

2. Arkansas

3. Wisconsin

4. Rhode Island

5. Indiana

6. Vermont

What to Look For When Buying Yellow Borneo?

If you're in the market for some high quality Yellow Borneo, make sure to check out the following buying tips I laid out for you in the following sections.

They will protect not only your wallet, but more importantly, your health.

Organic

Always ensure the Yellow Borneo you want to buy is organic, which means it is free from heavy metals, pesticides, and harmful pathogens such as Salmonella and E. Coli.

Lab Tested

Only buy Yellow Borneo if it has been lab tested by a third party laboratory. Lab tests certify the concentrtion of alkaloids and verify the product is organic.

By knowing the true concentration of alkaloids, the customer can compare the potency between various vendors.

Customer Guarantee

The stronger the guarantee, the more confident the vendor. Therefore, you'll want to preferably purchase from a vendor that backs up their Yellow Borneo with a solid guarantee.
