GLA Kratom Brand Review [2023 Update]

This in-depth brand review has all the answers! Join me as I delve deep into GLA Kratom’s operations, products, prices, reputation, and transparency. At first glance, I sense this vendor is a hidden gem among a sea of mediocrity. Keep reading to see if my assumption is correct!

Let’s start by learning more about GLA Kratom and what they do.

GLA Kratom is a Missouri-based retailer of kratom products and hemp-derived offerings, such as delta-8. The vendor also stocks products containing delta-9, delta-10, HHC, THC-A, and THC-O - all cannabinoids that have proven a hit in the legal cannabis scene.

Now that is covered, let’s get back to the Mitragyna speciosa - this is, after all, a kratom review! GLA Kratom specializes in multiple product types, including powders, capsules, and extracts. They also have a small selection of unique kratom blends.

In addition to trading online, GLA Kratom has a brick-and-mortar store in Blue Springs, Missouri. I am encouraged when a vendor has a physical presence. And going by the company’s social media handles, it appears that GLA stands for “Good Life Advanced.”

GLA Kratom does not have an About Us page. However, the content on their website suggests an authentic passion for kratom and other botanicals. I also spotted some impressive bargains under the “Mega Deals” tab.

GLA Kratom’s website layout is somewhat dated and not the easiest on the eye, but that is a minor qualm. With an educational blog and informative product descriptions, GLA has gone for substance over style - and I am here for it. 

GLA’s kratom collection mostly consists of own-branded products. However, the ‘Kratom Extracts’ category reveals high-strength products from Krave, Rave Kratom, and Your Kratom. Let’s work our way through GLA’s intriguing store.

GLA has a rock-solid range of kratom powder products, with several strains in the red, white, and green vein categories. The vendor provides context on the properties of each strain, along with dosage suggestions. Other brands should take note of this example!

GLA Kratom’s powder is pure, fresh, and finely ground. All products are free from additives and fillers, and the kratom is never exposed to chemicals or pesticides. Quality is a priority at GLA, and the product packaging proudly states that the powder is made of 100% Mitragyna speciosa.

The vendor conveniently includes a measuring scoop with their 500-gram bags, so you can get your dosage spot on. The resealable, airtight, and non-transparent bags are ideal for kratom powder and will aid with keeping your product fresh.

Most of GLA’s kratom strains are sold in capsules, too. You might prefer them to powder if you want a more portable product type, don’t want to measure your dosages, and dislike kratom’s taste. However, kratom capsules are more expensive.

Red vein kratom capsules have more chilled-out characteristics, while white vein capsules may be more uplifting. GLA fills each gelatin capsule with 500mg (0.5 grams) of pure and fresh kratom powder. I presume the vendor uses size 00 capsules, although it was not specified.

As with their kratom powder, GLA publishes a recommended dosage chart on each product page. And they guarantee that there are no additives or fillers in these products. Pick from the following strains and buying options.

GLA also has a selection of kratom blends to complement the regular strains. These products combine multiple strains to offer unique experiences. Many vendors stock kratom blends, and they all deliver something different. GLA Kratom gives you four options to choose from.

Trainwreck: This full-spectrum strain contains a mixture of different veined leaves - and GLA says it will put you in a “colorful mood.” The Trainwreck blend is available in three forms: powder, capsules, and gummies.

GLA Gold: This alkaloid-rich kratom blend is ideal for tackling your tolerance. GLA describes it as “on a par with red strains.” GLA Gold is sold as kratom powder, in bag sizes ranging from 30 grams to 1 kilogram.

Maui Waui: Cannabis lovers may be familiar with the ‘Maui Waui’ name, but this kratom blend has nothing to do with Mary Jane. This pure kratom powder is a blend of GLA’s favorite white vein strains. Sold in four bag sizes: 30 grams, 250 grams, 500 grams, and 1 kilogram.

Premium Blend: This well-balanced kratom blend combines the powerhouse strains of Red Bali, Green Bali, Red Maeng Da, and White Maeng Da. All four strains are best-sellers, so imagine what they can do together.

Kratom extract products have a higher alkaloid content than plain-leaf powder and capsules. GLA Kratom offers kratom gummies, extract tablets, and various liquid kratom products. Many of these are manufactured by different companies. Let’s go through them one by one.

GLA’s Trainwreck Kratom Gummies: This is the first time I have seen kratom edibles made with the Trainwreck blend. Each grapefruit-flavored gummy is infused with 20mg of full-spectrum kratom extract. Every tub contains 10 gummies and 200mg of kratom extract in total.

Spike Kratom Extract from Krave: Krave’s Kratom Extract Powder is designed for effortless on-the-go kratom dosing. Each tube contains 100mg of mitragynine (two 50mg servings). Mix each serving with 8oz of water for best effects. Available in four flavors: Dragon Fruit, Juice Bana, Passion Fruit, and Sweet Tea.

Extract Shots from Rave Kratom: Enjoy kratom in convenient liquid form with Rave Kratom’s 15ml Extract Shots. The Gold Goddess Shot is for when you need an energy boost, whereas the Green Maeng Da Bliss Shot produces more balanced effects. Both Rave Kratom shots are made with full-spectrum kratom extract - each product contains 270mg of alkaloids, with mitragynine accounting for 120mg of that.

Extract Tablets from Rave Kratom: Indulge in a concentrated alkaloid experience with Rave Kratom’s 80% Mitragynine Extract Tablets. Rave uses advanced extraction tech to preserve the plant’s alkaloids and give this product a full-spectrum feel. Each Max Strength tablet contains 100mg of kratom alkaloids, the same as you would get from 6 to 7 grams of kratom powder. Rave’s Extract Tablets are sold in 2ct and 5ct blister packs.

Liquid Extract from Your Kratom: The MyCalm Passion Fruit Kratom Shot is made with proprietary ingredients and designed to take the edge off. This Your Kratom product comes in a 2oz bottle and is available for purchase at Your Kratom.

GLA Kratom is an authentic kratom brand with a real-world and online store. And given the embrace of third-party testing, I am confident this vendor is selling genuine kratom products.

GLA posts some third-party certificates of analysis (COAs) from Columbia Laboratories on its website. The data looks impeccable and covers purity and potency, but the COAs are from 2021.

However, I noticed the QR codes linking to lab results on GLA Kratom’s product packaging. So, I am optimistic they have more recent and relevant COAs somewhere.

Unfortunately, GLA Kratom does not accept returns of opened products. So, there isn't much in the way of a refund policy and satisfaction guarantee. But I recognize that small businesses have less leeway in this area than larger vendors.

Similarly, I don't see the lack of American Kratom Association (AKA) accreditation as a red flag. Becoming GMP-qualified is a desirable step for those with the means to do so. However, it is a costly and time-consuming process. The COAs are enough to show GLA's products are legit.

Unusually, there is hardly any discussion about GLA Kratom online, so I struggled to gauge the brand’s reputation. There is a box on the GLA website showing a 4.89/5 rating from over 1250 reviews. However, this did not link to anywhere.

As of June 2023, anybody can leave product reviews on GLA’s site. There is a tag noting which reviews are from “verified owners,” but I don’t know what third-party authentication system the vendor uses, if any. Most products have excellent ratings.

Not even Reddit could help in my search for independent perspectives on GLA Kratom, which is surprising. GLA is not the kratom industry’s best-known vendor, but we are still talking about a well-established company.

GLA Kratom charges less than $100 for one kilogram of third-party tested kratom powder. That is excellent value, and even 1000 capsules (500g kratom powder) for $115 is not too expensive. Unfortunately, lesser amounts are rather costly, with 30 grams of kratom powder priced at $20.

As of June 2023, GLA provides free USPS First Class shipping for orders over $100. Orders over $50 and 1lb in weight are eligible for free USPS Priority shipping. These perks keep GLA’s products firmly within the reasonable price bracket.

With no refunds on opened kratom products, buying from GLA Kratom involves taking some financial risk. But if the kratom is up to standard, GLA’s big bags of powder and capsules are worth the money.

GLA Kratom strikes me as an underrated vendor. Their website could look better, but their products are seemingly excellent.

Don't be put off by GLA selling kratom alongside delta-8 and other hemp-derived products. GLA is serious about ensuring its kratom is up to standard and has the COAs to confirm it.
