Mitragaia Brand Review [2023 Update]

Mitragaia is a kratom retailer and wholesaler with an address in Henderson, Nevada. According to their website, Mitragaia was founded by Dan the Man and Mama Maggie - I couldn’t find anything more specific or revealing than that!

The vendor has an eye-catching product collection consisting of powders, capsules, extracts, gummies, and tablets. They evidently want to attract every type of kratom user, and the low-cost sampler packs no doubt convince people to give them a go.

Mitragaia has a blog with kratom information and tips for beginners. The vendor also collaborates with Your Highness Media for the ‘Getting Personal with Plant Medicine’ podcast. It is satisfying to see them spreading the good word about kratom.

Mitragaia’s charitable donations show the vendor is keen to give back. The company donates to the American Kratom Association, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and more. Check out the ‘Charities’ page on their website for more details.

Furthermore, Mitragaia has one of the better website designs I have seen. Some online stores are a nightmare to navigate. But their website is well-presented and hassle-free to browse.

Of course, what really matters is Mitragaia’s kratom range. So, let’s get into it! Any product prices mentioned in this review were correct at the time of writing (June 2023).

Kratom powder fans will love the variety of strains and blends in the Mitragaia store. There is even a niche selection of Plantation Maeng Da strains. All kratom powder from this vendor contains 100% Mitragyna speciosa - no fillers, additives, or adulterants here!

Mitragaia describes using kratom powder harvested for “maturity and potency.” And judging by the photos, the company’s powders are fresh and boast a smooth, flour-like consistency. But they would benefit by adding a small section on the effects of the strains.

Mitragaia offers multiple powder samplers. The Welcome Powder Sampler consists of seven 1oz bags of your choice for $30. Or spend $120 on the 1000g Powder Sampler, where you can select four 250-gram bags. Both are brilliant for getting acquainted with Mitragaia’s range.

Many kratom users can tolerate the trade-off of higher prices for more convenience, hence the appeal of kratom capsules. That said, Mitragaia’s kratom caps are better value than many I have seen, with a 1-kilogram bag available for $140 (40% more expensive than one kilo of powder).

Mitragaia correctly identifies that capsules get rid of messy straining and measuring heaps of powder. Kratom caps also take care of a significant kratom problem: the bitter flavor!

The vendor uses 00-size gelatin capsules, filling them with 0.4 to 0.6 grams of kratom powder. This variance explains why Mitragaia markets kratom capsules by weight. So, they will require some measuring after all for accurate dosing. Mitragaia does not sell vegan capsules.

Kratom powder can soon become a hassle if you take a lot of it. But you can significantly reduce your serving size with high-potency, alkaloid-rich kratom powder extracts. Mitragaia stocks three of these products, which I would recommend for experienced users only. Each kratom powder extract is available in five bag sizes: 1g, 1oz, 2oz, 4oz, and 8oz.

20x Kratom Extract: This Mitragaia extract is up to 20 times more potent than plain-leaf kratom powder. The 20x Kratom Extract is rich in mitragynine, 7-hydroxymitragynine, and minor indole alkaloids such as rhynchophylline.

50x Kratom Extract: Mitragaia’s 50x Extract is a finely-ground, full-spectrum, and water-soluble kratom product based on the Maeng Da strain. The vendor describes this as its “best-dissolving kratom extract.” And yes, it is up to 50 times stronger than traditional kratom powder.

Move over capsules and powder - kratom just got much fruitier and sweeter! Sure, Kratom Gummies aren’t unique to Mitragaia, but this convenient, tasty, and portable product type is only ballooning in popularity. And I am impressed by the vendor’s edible effort.

These are vegan-friendly kratom edibles, with fruit pectin replacing the classic gummy ingredient of gelatin. Mitragaia’s gummies also contain corn syrup, cane sugar, organic natural flavorings, and Mitragyna speciosa extract.

Mitragaia’s Kratom Gummies are more potent than some on the market with 20mg of mitragynine per serving. These edibles come in a 10-count bag (200mg of mitragynine per purchase). Store in a cool, dark place to protect the gummies from merging and melting!

Kratom tablets have emerged as an attractive alternative to capsules. They are smaller and more potent than kratom caps, making it easier to get your hit.

For instance, each of Mitragaia’s Kratom Tablets contains the equivalent of 3 to 4 grams of powder but is only one-third the size of a capsule. If you find hard-shell capsules a nightmare to swallow, switching to kratom tablets might prove a sensible move.

Mitragaia’s Kratom Tablets are made without additives, fillers, and bonding agents. Each tab contains 300mg of 100% pure kratom, giving you a clean and satisfying experience. Choose from three strains and bag sizes.

Mitragaia is a well-established kratom business with a solid selection. And they have plenty of kratom knowledge. Moreover, the vendor's educational efforts, community outreach, and charitable donations show this is more than a business venture.

In many product descriptions, Mitragaia states that it “lab tests each batch for quality control.” I did not spot any certificates of analysis (COAs) on the Mitragaia site. So, I would hope the relevant report is provided with your purchase.

Some will be wary that Mitragaia is not certified by the American Kratom Association (AKA). However, some excellent brands aren't GMP-qualified, so I see it as more of a minor blemish than a major issue.

Mitragaia has a 30-day return policy, although opened bags are subject to caveats. You cannot get a refund on opened products, but the vendor will issue an exchange or reward points for a future order. Products must be returned in the original packaging at your expense.

I have seen more generous return policies, although Mitragaia’s is still fair. The company is keen to ensure customer satisfaction. However, they don’t want to be taken advantage of. That’s why you can get an exchange or de facto store credit but not a cash refund.

Mitragaia has a system where verified buyers can post product reviews on their website. The vast majority of these give the vendor a 4 or 5-star rating. Even so, I wanted to check elsewhere for other perspectives on the company.

In this Reddit post on r/Vendorsofkratom, there was a general vibe that Mitragaia is okay, but there are better alternatives. For example, u/Next_Armadillo_21 said, “I’ve had good experiences mostly. They sent a bunk package to me and am in the process of getting a replacement.”

Mitragaia has received mixed opinions on TrustPilot, with a 3.3/5 rating from more than 30 reviews, as of June 2023. This is below what I would expect and indicates that not everyone has a terrific time.

Mitragaia charges $100 and $140 for one kilogram of kratom powder and capsules. The vendor’s kratom extracts, tablets, and gummies are competitively priced and comparable to what other brands charge for such products. They also have a rewards program that enables loyal customers to make savings.

Mitragaia’s prices are toward the upper end of what I would pay for a brand that is not AKA certified. However, the affordable sampler packs offer an opportunity to experiment with Mitragaia without having to fork out hundreds of dollars.

Overall, I see Mitragaia as a solid kratom vendor that does well in some areas but has room for improvement in others. I appreciate the effort to teach people about the herb and was impressed by their product range. However, I would like to see them go further on transparency.
