Star Kratom Brand Review [2023 Update]

This kratom vendor is still fresh on the scene but has already caught people’s attention. In this review, I will explore what - if anything - distinguishes Star Kratom from the crowd. I want to touch upon the brand’s manufacturing approach, the finished products, and more.

By the time you have finished reading, you should have a firm idea of whether Star Kratom is for you. Let’s start with an introduction to the company that has been turning heads.

Star Kratom is a Colorado-based vendor specializing in kratom powder and capsules. The company has an office in Grand Junction but operates exclusively online. Star self-describes as an industry-leading brand with some of the highest quality and most authentic products around.

The vendor’s About Us page details a mission to focus on customer satisfaction, helping people find the kratom products that suit them. Star is also passionate about empowering customers to make savings through bulk buying, hence why you can purchase up to 5kg of powder at once!

Like all leading brands, Star sources its premium-grade kratom directly from Southeast Asian farmers. The company adopts a rigorous approach to purity, taking care to ensure no pesticides or preservatives sneak into products. They also have minimum potency thresholds.

Star Kratom outlines a five-step process on its website homepage: 1) natural kratom, 2) harvest leaves, 3) sort, 4) dry, and 5) grind. We can assume this is crucial to creating consistently pure and potent kratom products.

Informing and educating customers seems like a massive part of the Star Kratom strategy. From explaining the benefits of purchasing in bulk to discussing what makes an excellent product, Star is helping customers to shop with their eyes wide open.

Star Kratom’s collection is not the biggest in the world. Thus far, the vendor has stuck to kratom powder and capsules, offering these products in various sought-after strains.

The store also has a section for best-sellers, which included Green Maeng Da and Red Maeng Da powder when I checked. Any prices mentioned in this review were accurate at the time of writing (June 2023). Let’s look more closely at the Star Kratom range.

Kratom powder is the way to go if you want to keep costs to a minimum. But while this is the cheapest form of kratom, it is also the most versatile. You can do everything with it from the ‘toss and wash’ method to making capsules and high-strength kratom extracts from scratch.

Star Kratom has a solid selection of kratom powder strains. Mitragyna speciosa enthusiasts will likely have heard of them all - Star seems to care more about perfecting the classics than delving into anything obscure. All strains are described as having a “High Alkaloid Content”.

I like the minimalist style of Star Kratom’s packaging. And the opaque, resealable pouch design is perfect for preserving the powder’s freshness and potency. Helpfully, the vendor states the cost per 10 grams for each package size, so you know where to find the best value.

Star Kratom separates its powder strains into three categories: Green, Red, and White Strains. This makes for easy navigation, and while it sounds simple, not all stores are so well-organized. They also post a picture of every powder strain, giving you an idea of what you are getting.

Kratom capsules have more limitations than kratom powder, but several notable upsides. They are great for consistent dosing, ideal for consuming on the go, and perfect if you cannot stomach the herb’s flavor. You can buy more than a dozen strains of kratom capsules at Star Kratom.

There are no specific product descriptions for each strain, so you will have to work out the effects yourself. Regular users will find this easier than first-timers, although provided you understand the nuances between vein colors, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

Star Kratom’s capsules are made from gelatin and contain approximately 600mg of kratom powder. In terms of size and material, Star’s capsules are much like any other in the kratom industry. Choose from several green, red, and white strains and two bag sizes.

Star Kratom is big on quality and authenticity, correctly identifying that many brands lack these traits. They claim to provide third-party lab results for every batch of products. But I could not access any certificates of analysis (COAs) on their site.

However, this isn’t that unusual, especially for vendors that test kratom by batch. I presume that Star’s products have a lot number that links to lab results with potency and purity data.

Star Kratom’s 30-day refund policy applies to opened and unopened products, and you don’t even need to pay the postage on the return. All they ask is for opened kratom products to have at least 85% of the original contents remaining. This is the refund policy of a legitimate vendor.

Furthermore, Star Kratom’s product reviews are third-party authenticated by TrustSpot. The reviews distinguish between verified buyers and verified emails. This system is credible and makes me confident that Star Kratom’s customer reviews are genuine.

If there is one drawback, Star Kratom is not yet certified by the American Kratom Association (AKA). The kratom advocacy organization has a list of GMP-qualified vendors, which are deemed to follow exemplary manufacturing and processing standards.

There are plenty of legitimate brands without this accreditation. But acquiring it would boost Star Kratom’s reputation.

Star Kratom’s customer reviews are promising. However, I wanted to get some external views on the vendor. And there is nowhere better to do that than Reddit! Unusually, I didn’t find as many threads discussing them as I anticipated.

In 2022 on the r/kratomreview101 subreddit, u/JessiPaige31 spoke highly of Star Kratom’s Red Bali, Red Maeng Da, and White Maeng Da products. But they didn’t receive any replies when asking if anyone else had experience with the vendor.

However, a lack of conversation isn’t necessarily a negative. If Star Kratom was selling low-grade products, you can bet that somebody would have complained about them by now.

And since the vendor has tons of positive TrustSpot-authenticated reviews, I have no doubt Star Kratom is well-liked.

Firstly, Star Kratom is an authentic brand with many happy customers. So, there is no need to worry about getting ripped off with low-quality kratom. And if you are unsatisfied for any reason, you always have the safety net of the generous refund policy.

Star Kratom’s prices are neither cheap nor expensive, with 1 kilogram of kratom powder currently set at $99.99. I expect a 5-kilogram bag would come with even greater savings. However, despite advertising this purchasing option, I couldn’t see any 5-kilo bags of kratom powder for sale when I looked.

I don’t think the kratom capsules are value for money, with a 700-count bag (420g of powder) priced at $129.99. I know capsules cost more, but that is steep.

Star Kratom provides free shipping on orders over $150. You also get loyalty points when you shop with them, which can be redeemed for discounts on future orders.

While everyone will have their opinions, I think this vendor offers reasonable value for money. If you still aren’t sure, here are some other kratom brands to check out.
