YoKratom popped up onto the market in 2018 and has since established itself as a prominent kratom vendor. While not one of the industry's biggest names, those who know their Mitragyna speciosa will likely have come across YoKratom at some stage.

However, despite being in the scene for five years, it remains difficult to discover much about YoKratom. Unlike many brands, this company doesn't have a detailed 'About Us' page or origin story. And that makes it hard to form an attachment to this brand.

That said, we know that YoKratom products are distributed by Omni Consumer Products, LLC, a company based in South Carolina.

It would be nice to learn more about this brand. While having a lengthy backstory isn't necessary, it's always good to know the people behind the company!

YoKratom specializes in kratom powder and capsules, offering both products in various strains. Instead of selling emerging product types like tablets and edibles, YoKratom focuses its efforts on traditional best-sellers. Here’s what you need to know about the brand's kratom powder and capsules.

YoKratom offers a comprehensive kratom powder collection, consisting of various well-known red, white, and green vein strains. The company packages the powder in standard resealable bags. These have a small transparent section so you can see the kratom color.

There are no standout features of YoKratom’s powder range, with little in the way of product descriptions for each strain. But this minimalistic approach is not necessarily a bad thing. And the brand assures us that these products contain Mitragyna speciosa leaf and nothing else.

Kratom capsules are a vital component of the YoKratom range. Most vendors that stock kratom powder sell the same strains in capsules. Price-wise, buying kratom in capsules is generally more expensive due to the extra effort needed to make them.

YoKratom dispenses its capsules in resealable bags, much like how it sells kratom powder. Many vendors use bottles for capsules, although bags work, too. That said, bags don’t have a child-resistant mechanism, unlike many bottles which come with a secure cap.

Each YoKratom capsule is filled to the brim with 0.63 grams of powder. However, I could not find information on their website as to whether YoKratom uses gelatin or vegetable capsules. This is a surprising and confusing omission as it is typically seen as a crucial detail nowadays.

YoKratom has been in operation for several years, so they must be doing something right. However, there are good reasons to question this kratom brand's legitimacy.

Firstly, the American Kratom Association (AKA) does not list YoKratom as a GMP-qualified vendor. While not a deal-breaker, going through the required steps to become GMP-qualified is a good-faith act that shows credibility to customers.

Reading bold claims from a vendor about product quality without seeing any evidence to back them up always sets my alarm bells ringing. Unfortunately, YoKratom does not have publicly available third-party lab results for its kratom products.

So, there is no option but to take them at their word. That might be enough for some people, but considering the industry's known issues with product quality and consistency, it isn't enough for me.

It is fair to say that YoKratom has not always had the best brand reputation. Browse online, and you will find many first-hand reports criticizing the quality of YoKratom's products and customer service.

Reddit user u/JackShephardLeopard weighed in on a post discussing YoKratom on the r/Vendorsokratom subreddit. He argued that the “discount is not worth the gamble” and that even though you can get good kratom for cheap, you have to pay more to “get good leaf consistently.”

In another post on the same subreddit, there were positive comments about their prices, but negative thoughts on kratom quality and customer service. Reddit user /u/Peashow described their order as slow to arrive and “indistinguishable from gas station kratom”.

However, u/onetouchswitching was less critical. While they didn’t think Yo’s kratom was the best, they hadn’t found a better Green Maeng Da strain for the price. But they were less complimentary about the vendor’s Trainwreck kratom.

In terms of brand reputation, selling kilos of kratom for $59.99 may be more of a hindrance than a help. Such low prices inevitably create suspicion, as seen by various posts on Reddit that talk about YoKratom.

YoKratom's astonishingly low prices are the first thing I noticed when checking out this brand. A kilogram of kratom powder for less than $60? That is pretty much unheard of in a market where kratom powder often retails for up to twice that amount.

However, low prices and value for money don't necessarily go hand in hand. And with all the fierce online criticism about YoKratom's products, these prices seemingly are too good to be true.

Given what we know about YoKratom, there is a strong case that they aren't worth the money. However, they do offer some impressive deals on occasion. So, you might be able to grab a bargain, even if the kratom is not up to the quality that you would typically expect.

In some industries, I would be prepared to give a brand like this the benefit of the doubt. But we all know that even the best kratom vendors can have issues with product quality and consistency. And that makes it even harder to look sympathetically at YoKratom.

Sure, you could place an order with them and have an incredible kratom experience. However, given all the negative reviews, I feel such an outcome is less likely with YoKratom than with many other brands. For that reason, I will be spending my money elsewhere.
