MitraMan Botanicals Brand Review [2023 Update]

Premium-quality, lab-tested kratom should be the norm. But unfortunately, it is often hard to come by. MitraMan Botanicals markets itself as a small batch vendor that exclusively stocks this type of kratom. In this review, let's discuss whether they are delivering that to customers.

I am encouraged by MitraMan’s kratom collection, and the vendor seems to care about lab-testing transparency. However, we must consider other factors in this analysis, such as brand reputation and if their products are worth the money.

MitraMan Botanicals is an online kratom vendor based in Round Rock, Texas. Judging by the address on the website, MitraMan is operated by a company called MMB ATX, LLC.

As for getting to know the vendor, there is not much to reveal. There is no About Us page on the MitraMan site, so we cannot learn their backstory or motivations for founding a kratom business. But some companies aren’t so bothered about this aspect.

MitraMan is committed to carrying small-batch, premium-quality, and lab-tested kratom products. The vendor’s self-proclaimed quality and consistency are a result of building relationships with the industry’s best farmers. And that is, indeed, a recipe for success.

Companies are eligible for MitraMan’s wholesale discounts on bulk orders, but you will need to contact them for pricing. As of June 2023, the MitraMan website is monitored by WAAVE Compliance, a third-party system that verifies business legitimacy.

MitraMan stocks a variety of kratom powders, capsules, and extracts. There is a disclaimer about how these products are not approved by the FDA for human consumption. This is simply MitraMan covering itself and is no reason for concern.

I have seen comments that MitraMan changes up the strains from time to time, which could be slightly annoying. This review concentrates on the vendor’s product range as of June 2023 - any prices listed were correct when written.

MitraMan Botanicals sells more than a dozen strains of powder. And with five kratom vein colors to choose from (gold, green, red, white, and yellow), you can indulge in all kinds of experiences. And thankfully, Mitragyna speciosa is the only ingredient present.

MitraMan’s kratom powder product pages are relatively limited. There is a photograph of each strain but no information on the possible effects. Some products have a third-party lab report attached, although I did not find these for all of them.

MitraMan sometimes places limits on how much you can purchase. When I checked, there was a 250-gram limit on Yellow Maeng Da orders. This could be frustrating if they capped your favorite strain, as you wouldn't be able to take advantage of discounts by buying in bulk.

Like many brands, MitraMan has a capsule product line to complement its powder range. Kratom capsules are less economical than powder but arguably the best option if you want a flavorless, portable, and mess-free solution. If that sounds like you, give these a look.

MitraMan fills the capsules with 500mg of kratom powder. This is a standard amount and suggests the vendor uses 00-size capsules, although I did not see this confirmed anywhere. Frustratingly, there was no info on whether MitraMan uses gelatin capsules or a plant-based alternative.

I could not see any gold or yellow vein kratom, so I am afraid that fermented kratom fans are out of luck here. But with three different vein color capsules available, MitraMan still caters to a mixture of kratom tastes. Choose from the following strains and buying options.

Demand for potent kratom powder extract continues to soar. For regular consumers, chowing down several grams of powder per session soon becomes a chore. But with kratom powder extract, you can make dosing more efficient and enjoyable again.

MitraMan Botanicals stocks two forms of kratom extract powder. Both are made with full-spectrum kratom extract and contain increased levels of mitragynine. And unlike the enhanced powders sold by some brands, this stuff is seriously strong.

28% MIT Extract: Mitraman’s 28% Extract Powder is approximately 20 times more potent than plain-leaf powder. Therefore, if you typically take 4 grams, you only need 0.2 grams of this powder for the same effects. Sold in 1 and 3-gram jars.

55% MIT Extract: The 55% Extract Powder is double the strength of the 28% MIT Extract and 40 times more intense than plain-leaf powder. MitraMan recommends taking a mere 100mg per serving, if you were in any doubt about how potent this product is! Sold in 1 and 3-gram jars.

MitraMan Botanicals understands why third-party testing matters, which is a promising start. The vendor has a specific page with certificates of analysis (COA) for each strain. These are carried out by third-party labs like Analytical Resource Laboratories and Murray-Brown Laboratories, Inc.

These COAs examine purity and quality. For instance, the White Maeng Da COA from Murray-Brown tests for salmonella, E.coli, heavy metals, and more. It also states the amount of mitragynine in the product. In addition, the report is dated as recently as February 2023.

Some kratom brands publish extremely old results and try to pass them as credible. That MitraMan has recent results for all strains shows a commitment to transparency. However, this process is less rigorous than testing every batch, which may make some people cautious.

MitraMan does not appear on the American Kratom Association’s (AKA) list of GMP-qualified vendors. Even though most companies operate without this accreditation, its absence raises a few questions. But I won’t be overly critical on this matter.

Finally, MitraMan Botanicals has a strict but fair refund policy. You can return an opened product if dissatisfied, but you must do so within 7 days of receipt and with at least 95% of the original contents remaining. This gives you a chance to try the kratom and see if it works for you.

MitraMan has gone up in my estimations for this since many vendors refuse to grant refunds on opened products.

The MitraMan website posts product reviews from verified owners. But since I don’t think these are independently checked, you might want to take them with a pinch of salt. However, I found several favorable comments on the independent pages of Reddit.

For example, u/placebodie described MitraMan as the “best vendor I’ve tried” upon reviewing them on the r/Vendorsofkratom subreddit in 2021. They appreciate that MitraMan is a small batch company, and many other Redditors appeared to share the same opinion.

In 2022, another user praised MitraMan on the same subreddit, reserving praise for the Premium Maeng Da and Red Elephant strains. Redditor u/Plaincheddar96 said, “MitraMan is always consistent!” It seems that many people are delighted with the kratom they get from this brand.

MitraMan Botanicals does not charge over the odds for its kratom products. You can pick up 1kg of kratom powder for less than $100, which is pretty good for a third-party tested vendor, even if they aren’t AKA-accredited. MitraMan’s kratom capsules and powder extracts are also good value.

Orders are eligible for free UPS Priority Shipping, although faster shipping options are available at a cost. There is a small convenience fee if you pay via credit or debit card and a sales tax if you buy from Texas. But that is all in the way of hidden surprises at the checkout.

Considering MitraMan’s transparency efforts and excellent reputation, I am confident that this kratom brand’s products are worth the money. They certainly appear more legit than many vendors in this price bracket, and their refund policy is another reason to give them a chance.

The more I learned about MitraMan Botanicals, the more I grew to like them. What this vendor lacks in razzmatazz it makes up for in product quality. MitraMan has a solid third-party tested kratom range and a loyal customer base. I suspect their reputation will continue to grow.
