MitraSpec Brand Review [2023 Update]
Welcome to another kratom brand analysis. Putting MitraSpec under the microscope means looking at the products they sell, how the company operates, its reputation in the industry, and more. In short, I will discuss everything you should know about MitraSpec.
Let’s begin with some general information regarding this vendor.
Who is MitraSpec?
MitraSpec is a retailer of Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) products and other botanicals, including ashwagandha. The company was founded in 2015 as MitraSpec LLC and has an address in Newport, New Hampshire.
MitraSpec launched with a mission to bring high-quality products to shoppers at affordable prices, all while providing unmatched customer service. Indeed, many kratom brands get into the industry with similar aims - and you cannot be successful without delivering all three!
According to MitraSpec’s FAQ section, the vendor imports and manufactures kratom products. There is even an AI assistant to help you find something suitable. But MitraSpec has humans on hand to answer your questions, too.
I have seen better website designs than MitraSpec’s, which could be easier to navigate. However, I like that you can browse their products by effect - not all stores offer this search option. And things become easier once you know how the site works.
The company is active on social media with accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. MitraSpec accepts all major credit and debit cards. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday (except holidays), and they aim to provide a same-day shipping service when possible.
Discover the MitraSpec Kratom Range
MitraSpec has the feel of a classic kratom store with deep collections of powders and capsules. As of June 2023, you won’t find kratom extracts or edibles at this vendor. But given the variety of strains and blended products, nobody could complain about a lack of choice.
Let’s delve deeper into MitraSpec’s kratom collection (all prices were accurate at the time of writing).
Kratom Powder
MitraSpec offers dozens of kratom powder options and a selection of yellow, white, red, green, and gold vein strains. They also stock kratom blends, which I will cover later on.
The product pages for each strain are short and sweet but filled with valuable info. The pictures provide an idea of the powder’s color and consistency, and the descriptions give an indication of what to expect. And they will help with deciding between closely related strains.
- Strains: Gold Bali, Green Borneo, Green Horned, Red Kapuas, Red Maeng Da, White Borneo, White Maeng Da, Yellow Vietnam and more
- Bag Sizes: 100 grams, 250 grams, 500 grams, 1 kilogram
Kratom Capsules
Kratom capsules are a pricier but advantageous alternative to loose kratom powder. If you don’t like measuring and preparing your dosage or tolerating the herb’s bitter taste, capsules can make for a more satisfying kratom experience. And MitraSpec stocks a ton of them!
With various gold, green, red, white, and yellow vein capsules for sale, this vendor ensures nobody is left behind. And let’s not forget their blends which are also sold in capsule form.
MitraSpec packs 800mg of kratom powder into each American-made 000-size capsule. These are the biggest capsules you can get, and those who struggle to swallow hard-shell caps may have trouble with them. For an extra 15%, MitraSpec will use vegan caps instead of gelatin.
- Strains: Gold Bali, Green Bali, Green Maeng Da, Red Borneo, Red Maeng Da, White Horned, White Maeng Da, Yellow Thai, Yellow Vietnam, and more
- Buying Options: 30 capsules, 60 capsules, 90 capsules, 120 capsules, 240 capsules, 480 capsules
Kratom Blends
Kratom connoisseurs love getting creative with blended products. MitraSpec offers a range of unique and cleverly crafted blends in loose powder and capsules - and it seems that some of these have been inspired by their customers.
Here’s a flavor of MitraSpec’s kratom blends. But they have even more in their store, and I imagine they will introduce new ones over time. Each blended strain is available in all the powder and capsule buying options listed above.
Aftermath: This kratom blend combines the Red Maeng Da and Super Elephant strains. It could be good after a tough day or a taxing session in the gym.
Ballistic: One of MitraSpec’s signatures, Ballistic brings together White Maeng Da and Yellow Thai. Many seem to find this strain mood-lifting and mildly energizing.
Gold Standard: MitraSpec describes Gold Standard as a blend of their “strongest Green Maeng Da batches.” So, get ready for a potent experience!
Happy Go Lucky: Obtain the benefits of three strains in MitraSpec’s Happy Go Lucky blend. This product contains 50% Yellow Thai, 30% Green Horned Leaf, and 20% White Maeng Da.
Pink Elephant: This well-liked kratom blend combines Red Maeng Da with Super Elephant and White Maeng Da. Pink Elephant may be good for taking the edge off and getting a burst of euphoria.
The Red Army: Take two-thirds Red Maeng Da and one-third Red Borneo and you have MitraSpec’s excellent Red Army kratom blend. It is long-lasting and great for chilling with.
If none of MitraSpec’s kratom blends appeal, you can create your own! Custom blends can consist of up to four strains, with any percentage breakdowns you like. Available in loose powder and capsule form.
Is MitraSpec Legit?
Yes. MitraSpec is a credible kratom company that has been delivering results for years. We can tell they are legit by the commitment to third-party testing, a good refund policy, and the many positive reviews. And I note that MitraSpec is ‘merchant verified’ by Authorize.net.
The vendor does not publish third-party lab results but provides a reason why. MitraSpec mentions that previous certificates of analysis (COAs) for kratom products have been stolen and photoshopped by bad actors looking to pass them off as their own.
I can see how this is a serious issue, and MitraSpec makes a valid point that third-party verified customer reviews are much harder to fake. Their website’s FAQ section states that shoppers are invited to review purchases by Stamped.io and that all reviews are published. That is fair enough, and I like that MitraSpec is open about all this. It demonstrates an understanding of the kratom industry and the importance of honesty.
As of June 2023, MitraSpec has not gone through the process of becoming an American Kratom Association (AKA) GMP-qualified vendor. Picking up that certification would be a good bonus, but it is not crucial given what else the company does to show it is legit.
MitraSpec products come with a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. Opened products are eligible for a refund, replacement, or store credit based on the amount returned. This is a clever policy that respects customers while protecting MitraSpec from opportunists.
What People Are Saying About MitraSpec
MitraSpec has more than 1,000 third-party verified product reviews on its website - and customers love what the vendor offers. Even so, I thought it wise to get some external thoughts to form a rounded view of MitraSpec’s brand reputation.
The company got a glowing endorsement from a now-deleted Reddit user in 2022. “If you haven’t tried MitraSpec yet, add it to the list,” was the title of a post on r/Vendorsofkratom. And u/overseasorganix1 responded with three fire emojis, a sure sign of approval!
In another r/Vendorsofkratom post, u/That_Ninja11 talked about using several of MitraSpec’s kratom blends. So, it appears that the vendor’s creative kratom offerings are going down well.
I saw the odd comment raising concerns about MitraSpec’s lab-testing approach, but that’s no surprise. Many kratom users are inherently skeptical, and often rightly so. Overall, though, it seems more people like MitraSpec than not.
Are MitraSpec’s Kratom Products Worth the Money?
When I investigated, MitraSpec was selling 1 kilogram of kratom powder for $123. A 50-gram bag came in at $23, while a 100-gram bag was slightly more expensive at $28. Meanwhile, buying a batch of 480 (800mg) capsules would set you back more than $200.
There is no minimum order requirement for free FedEx shipping (unless buying clothing). Furthermore, current and former members of the U.S. military are eligible for a military discount.
MitraSpec is not the cheapest kratom vendor, but the free and fast shipping helps sweeten the deal. And the sheer number of positive reviews is evidence the company’s kratom is genuine. Don't know where to start? MitraSpec’s Sample Packs can guide you in the right direction.
If you want budget kratom and don’t mind taking a risk on quality, MitraSpec’s prices might be out of your range. But I think the vendor’s products are worth the money if consistency and purity are your top concerns.
Final Thoughts
MitraSpec is a top-notch brand that is clearly run by kratom enthusiasts. Their store has an impressive array of strains and blends that live up to expectations. It is no shock that MitraSpec is still in business after many years, and I imagine they will have plenty more to come.
