Hey everybody! My name is Andrew and I am passionate about emerging substances, including kratom and CBD. I have seen them help so many people, including those close to me.

Some kratom companies are the talk of the town, while others go under the radar. The reasons why are often unclear, but Opal Kratom is one such vendor with a relatively low profile. So, let’s change that in this brand review!

I want to shine a light on Opal Kratom’s products, practices, prices, legitimacy, and reputation. The vendor has a well-designed online store and some snazzy packaging. However, that inevitably leads to questions over whether Opal is more style than substance.

Let’s begin our analysis by getting to know Opal Kratom better.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The information in our articles are represented solely as the opinions of the respective authors, who do not claim to be medical professionals. We are not medical experts, just kratom enthusiasts.

An Introduction to Opal Kratom

Opal Kratom is a US-based kratom retailer with a range of retail and wholesale options. However, their website reveals very little about them. As of July 2023, there is no About Us section or any information on when they started and where in the U.S. they are located.

Indeed, the distinct lack of content will be concerning to some shoppers. Opal Kratom does not even have an accessible ‘Terms and Conditions’ or ‘Privacy Policy’ page. This is basic stuff.

Furthermore, we cannot discover much about Opal’s offerings, although the packaging states that their kratom is a “product of Indonesia.” But there is nothing specific on where Opal sources kratom, how the trees are grown, and whether they follow ethical and sustainable practices.

Subscribers to Opal Kratom’s newsletter receive coupons and are the first to hear about the vendor’s latest promotions. Maybe the company shares more details about its operations with newsletter subscribers.

Showcasing the Opal Kratom Collection

Opal has a small but sweet kratom powder and capsule range, with five strains in each category. The products come in attractive packaging, which seems to have changed over the years. Let’s see what we can find out about these kratom products from the information provided.

Note: All prices were correct at the time of writing (July 2023).

Kratom Powder

Kratom powder is a staple product among most Mitragyna speciosa brands, and this holds true at Opal Kratom. The vendor’s online store stocks five premium, all-natural strains. These are distinguished by strain name rather than vein color, which is slightly unusual.

Opal Kratom packages the powder in resealable pouches. These look high-quality enough to protect the powder from air, light, and moisture. I spotted an old translucent bag design, but it seems that Opal now uses opaque bags. This is a clever decision as far as storage goes.

Trainwreck kratom is typically an alkaloid-rich blend of several strains. But the kratom combo used to create Trainwreck differs between vendors. Unfortunately, Opal Kratom does not divulge how it manufactures this product.

Strains: Premium Bali, Premium Borneo, Premium Maeng Da, Premium Malay, and Premium Trainwreck

Bag Sizes: 60 grams, 100 grams, 300 grams, 500 grams, 1000 grams (1 kilogram)

Kratom Capsules

Opal Kratom makes the same five strains available in capsule form. These more expensive kratom products are ideal if you don't like the herb's flavor or want a convenient way of taking it on the go. And you can discreetly enjoy kratom capsules anywhere, anytime.

Opal declares its kratom capsules as 100% all-natural and describes some potential effects on the packaging. However, the benefits appear to be the same for every strain, so I am not sure how much thought has gone into this.

Opal packages its kratom capsules in resealable pouches. The company fills each capsule with 500mg of kratom powder, which suggests the usage of 00-size capsules. “Are the capsules gelatin or plant-based?” I hear you ask. Frustratingly, they don’t say.

Strains: Premium Bali, Premium Borneo, Premium Maeng Da, Premium Malay, and Premium Trainwreck

Buying Options: 65 capsules, 150 capsules, 300 capsules, 500 capsules, 1000 capsules

Is Opal Kratom Legit?

This is a tricky question due to the general absence of information. Instead, I will tackle it from the angle of, “Does Opal Kratom do enough to convince me to purchase from them?”

As of July 2023, there are no third-party lab results for products on Opal Kratom's website. This means curious shoppers cannot verify the purity and alkaloid potency of Opal's products. This is an immediate deal-breaker for some.

I am open to the possibility that the company has its kratom independently tested. Some vendors don't publish results online but link to them via a QR code on the packaging. Opal Kratom might do this, although nothing on their site suggests so.

The American Kratom Association's list of GMP-qualified vendors does not include Opal Kratom. This did not surprise me. Most companies don't have this recognition from America's top kratom advocacy group. So, it seemed unlikely that a lowkey brand like Opal would have acquired it.

Opal Kratom says nothing about a return policy. Vendors typically make this crystal clear with a separate page detailing refunds and returns. That Opal doesn't do this implies there is no return policy. But you might want to contact them to check.

Opal Kratom Brand Reputation

Discovering anything about Opal Kratom from an independent source proved pretty much impossible. It is ultra-rare for an established kratom brand to go ignored by Reddit, but I could not find a single Opal-related thread.

I checked a few other places, including Google Reviews and Yelp. But still nothing. There is not even a mechanism for customers to post reviews on the Opal Kratom website.

Therefore, I cannot confidently say anything about the brand’s reputation. Opal might be manufacturing magnificent or mediocre kratom. But there is no way of knowing by searching online.

Are Opal Kratom’s Products Worth the Money?

I would not recommend paying above the odds for a vendor without third-party lab results, AKA certification, and a stated return policy. But Opal Kratom's products fall into a reasonable price range, which makes them worth considering.

I was impressed with Opal’s prices for small packages. You can buy 60 grams of powder for $7.99 and a 65-count bag of capsules (32.5 grams) for only $9.99. This is tremendous value for money - many brands charge twice that for such low quantities of kratom.

The bigger packages remain affordable, with Opal pricing one kilogram of powder at $89.99 and a 1000-count capsule bag (500 grams) at $115.99. But the vendor does not outperform others on price in these larger amounts.

Weirdly, I got a message that “there are no available payment methods for your state” when I went to place an order. I could not determine whether this was a glitch. Opal invited me to make “alternate arrangements” regarding payment. I was left without clarity on the shipping situation.

Ultimately, it is impossible to say if Opal Kratom’s products are worth the money. But the ultra-low prices for the smallest kratom powder and capsule options are appealing. If you can successfully place an order, Opal might reveal itself as one of the kratom market’s hidden gems!

Final Thoughts

My Opal Kratom left me underwhelmed and baffled in equal measure! There simply is not much to uncover about this kratom vendor. This makes me hesitant to buy from them, but I cannot say they are not legit. Opal Kratom must have a customer base to still be in business.
