VIP Kratom Brand Review [2023 Update]

Since arriving on the scene, VIP Kratom has developed a reputation for offering some of the highest quality kratom anywhere. My question is simple: do they deserve it? And that is what I will examine and answer in this kratom brand review.

Everything related to VIP Kratom is on the agenda, from the products in their store to the heralded quality control checks and customer service. A vendor must deliver in all departments to be considered among the kratom industry’s best. But enough talking: let’s get into it.

I will kick things off with an introduction to VIP Kratom.

VIP Kratom is a renowned US-based kratom vendor specializing in powders and capsules. The company ships products to customers in the U.S. and other countries where kratom is legal. But I did not discover who is behind VIP Kratom or where in the U.S. they are located.

Effective management practices and quality control mechanisms have proven vital to VIP Kratom’s success. And the vendor oversees the supply chain from start to finish. The team also keeps up with the latest scientific research so they can continue to fine-tune their processes.

VIP Kratom is an advocate of bulk-buying. They argue this is more cost-effective than regularly purchasing small quantities. It also works out more affordable for customers.

VIP Kratom’s About Us Page outlines four benefits of shopping with them:

1. Excellent support

2. Product guarantee

3. Same-day shipping

4. 100% happiness guarantee

These values are centered around delivering the best shopping experience for kratom lovers. Too many vendors lack adequate customer service. But VIP Kratom is committed to ensuring you receive high-quality kratom as quickly as possible.

As of July 2023, VIP Kratom has a small store that leans toward quality over quantity. For instance, they don’t offer extracts or enhanced kratom products. But the vendor has a brilliant variety of plain-leaf kratom powders and capsules. Let’s take a closer look. Note: Prices were accurate at the time of writing.

VIP Kratom stocks over a dozen kratom powder strains, all of which will be known to connoisseurs. Their red, white, and green vein collection consists of strains like Bali, Maeng Da, and Malay. The company has clearly gone for dependable strains rather than hidden gems.

I love the shiny gold and pink resealable pouches emblazoned with the VIP Kratom name. This is a stylish yet practical way of packaging kratom powder. VIP does not provide directions for use or mention anything about the qualities of each strain.

The vendor prices 250-gram pouches at $59.99 and 1-kilogram pouches at $179.99. They describe the 1-kilo option as offering a 25% saving. While technically correct, the cost-per-gram nearly always reduces with bigger orders no matter who you buy from.

VIP Kratom’s powders are vegan-friendly and all-natural, meaning they do not contain gluten, aspartame, or sugar. These products come with the vendor’s 100% Happiness Guarantee. Choose from the following strains and pouch sizes.

Strains: Green Bali, Green Maeng Da, Green Malay, Red Dragon, Red Sumatra, Red Thai, White Horn, White Indo, White Maeng Da, and more!

VIP makes all 15 of its kratom strains available in capsule form. Some stores have reduced capsule ranges, so kudos to VIP for offering a full state of green, red, and white vein strains.

The capsules come with a contradictory product description. While sold as a vegan product, the ingredients section states there are “approximately 600 milligrams of kratom powder in each gelatin capsule.” I suggest contacting them for clarification if this is a sticking point for you.

Crucially, Mitragyna speciosa is the only ingredient inside the capsules. No fillers, extenders, additives, enhancers, or other substances. Once again, there are no directions for use. But calculating your dosage should be easy enough with 600mg (0.6 grams) of kratom per capsule.

VIP Kratom’s capsules are much more expensive than the vendor’s powder. They charge $99.99 for 350 caps (approx 210 grams) and $179.99 for 700 caps (approx 420 grams). It is not unusual for capsules to cost extra, although more than double the price is a lot to ask.

I typically consider four aspects when deciding whether a kratom vendor is legit:

1. Third-party certificates of analysis (COAs) for products

2. Independent approval (e.g., recognition as a GMP-qualified vendor by the AKA)

3. Comprehensive refund and return policy

4. Customer reviews

I found zero third-party COAs when I checked the VIP Kratom website in July 2023. However, the vendor is proud of its “elaborate quality control mechanisms.” I recommend getting in touch with them and asking to see the relevant COA before you buy.

The American Kratom Association (AKA) lists over 40 GMP-qualified vendors. Unfortunately, VIP Kratom is not yet one of them. Picking up this accreditation would give more weight to the vendor’s quality control procedures.

VIP Kratom has a 30-day refund policy that applies to unopened and opened kratom products. The second part is vital and proof that VIP’s 100% Happiness Guarantee is the real deal.

No reason is required to request a refund, but the product must have at least 85% of the contents remaining. They say that opened products that have been sent back are never restocked or resold. I hope no vendor does this, but I am glad that VIP makes it clear.

TrustSpot provides third-party authentication for customer reviews on the VIP Kratom website. As of July 2023, the vendor has acquired a 4.8/5 rating from 76 product reviews. 

I think VIP Kratom could do more on transparency to build confidence. However, the stellar review rating has gone a long way to convincing me this brand is legit.

That said, brand reputation involves more than customer reviews on the vendor’s website. Helpfully, there were several threads about VIP Kratom on Reddit - some good, some not so good.

In early 2022, u/coreyu122 started a thread on r/Vendorsofkratom indicating that VIP Kratom is not worth it. Redditor u/RapidRick said, “There is no correlation between price and quality.” Two other users also agreed that there were better value options than VIP Kratom.

However, u/Comprehensive-You386 recommended the brand in a different post on the same subreddit. “I would suggest VIP Kratom as they only sell above standard mit %,” said the Redditor, referring to the mitragynine percentage.

I found little criticism of VIP Kratom’s quality, only complaints about the price. Therefore, I must conclude that this brand has a solid reputation.

Consider me skeptical. VIP Kratom’s products are expensive - there is no getting around it. But they might still be worth the money if they are consistently excellent. The thing is, there are AKA-certified kratom brands publishing third-party COAs that charge less than these guys.

Many people seem satisfied with their orders from VIP Kratom. However, some Redditors make valid points about the high prices not being worth it. I would have thought that a vendor selling such incredible kratom would be shouting from the rooftops about their lab results.

Perhaps I am missing something about the VIP Kratom approach. But based on what I have seen, you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

I am pretty sure that VIP Kratom is selling high-quality Mitragyna speciosa - the TrustSpot-verified reviews say as much. Yet there are plenty of vendors selling top-shelf kratom that don’t charge such premium prices.

I would not pay this much for kratom unless the company had unrivaled credibility and transparency. And I don’t think VIP Kratom has done enough to distinguish itself from other elite brands.
