Green Malay Kratom: Improve The Quality Of Your Life
Green Malay can be taken via capsules, the toss and wash, or prepared into a tea. However, to take full advantage of Green Malay and avoid side effects, you have to know how to use it and how much to take, which I’ll be happy to go over in this post.
What is Green Malay Kratom?
Green Malay is a variation of the kratom plant, also known as Mitragyna Speciosa, that grows abundantly in the countries of Southeast Asia, where the tropical climate provides the most ideal growing conditions.
Kratom can be found in four colors, including:
The green color is a hybrid mix of red and white strains. Hence, green strains produce results from both colors.
Each color offers similar effects, but will vary in potency. For example, Green Malay and Green Hulu offer the same effects, but the latter produces weaker effects.
The name, Malay, comes from the region where the strain was founded. As you may have already assumed, Green Malay originates in Malaysia. However, these days virtually all strains are cultivated and exported from Indonesia.
What Does Green Malay Taste Like?
Green Malay has a very bitter taste. So much so that many people can’t stomach the harshness, and thus opt to take capsules in order to bypass their taste buds.
Green Malay also has very earthy undertones. With regard to texture, Green Malay feels like a very soft powder, more so than the crystallized powder from salt or sugar.
Green Malay Side Effects
Green Malay, like all kratom strains, has the potential to produce unwanted side effects. In fact, I’d argue that because Green Malay is so potent, it’s even more likely to produce side effects.
Therefore, pay extra attention to this section, as it can spare you some discomfort relief.
Side effects are induced from taking more kratom than your body can handle. Hence, if you are new to kratom, you’re more likely to experience side effects than someone who's been using the plant for years.
The first and most popular side effect is nausea, which I’ve experienced on more than one occasion. The severity of the nausea will depend on how big of a dose you took.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to mitigate the nausea. Laying down on your back may offer some comfort, but not much. If you can eat without vomiting, doing so may slightly decrease the duration of the nausea.
If the nausea is severe, you may experience vomiting. Both nausea and vomiting usually last around 2 hours then disappear on their own. Fortunately, neither are fatal.
Green Malay Dosage
There is no universal dose that I can recommend for everyone, as various factors like weight, gender, tolerance, and the amount of food in your system all affect the size of the dose.
However, to avoid leaving you empty handed, I’ve created a table below with suggested starting doses.
If you’re new to kratom, don’t take two doses within the same day as doing so is very likely to trigger side effects.
How To Use Green Malay Kratom
When kratom leaves are harvested, they’re dried and grounded into a fine powder. The powder can be used as is via the toss and wash or converted into other forms like capsules or tea.
Each form of kratom has its drawbacks and its benefits, which I’ll be happy to go over in the next section.
Capsules
Pros:
- No bad flavors
Cons:
- Higher cost
- Take the longest to kick in
- Effects are slightly less potent
Capsules are great for those who don’t like the bitter taste. They’re made with vegan material to protect people with allergic reactions to animal products.
At Kratom Monkey, each capsule holds 0.7 grams of kratom powder, but the quantity can vary with each person.
Toss And Wash
Pros:
- Kicks in fast
- Potent results
- Lowest cost
Cons:
- Extremely bitter taste
- Some people may not enjoy the powdery texture
The toss and wash is a very convenient method used to take kratom powder quickly and efficiently.
All you have to do is take a spoonful of powder, swirl it around your mouth, and gulp it down (if you can).
Many people don’t like to use kratom this way because of the harsh bitter taste, but if you can tolerate it, the results are worth it!
Tea
Pros:
- Kicks in super fast
- Potent results
Cons:
- Effects don't last as long
- Pungent bitter taste
Green Malay tea is my least favorite way of taking Green Malay, as it tastes very strange and is highly inconvenient. The flavor is not like that of green tea. It’s much more bitter and earthy.
If you do decide to make tea, don't boil water with kratom, as that’ll destroy the alkaloids. Boil the water separately, then pour it into a container that has kratom already inside it, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes. Filter the powder, and you’re good to go!
How Long Does Green Malay Take to Kick In?
The time it takes for Green Malay to kick in is going to depend on how you used it. For example, capsules take much longer to kick in than using Green Malay as a tea.
Take a look at the table below to understand how long it takes to feel Green Malay’s initial effects.
Form of Use
| Time (in minutes)
|
Capsules
| 30-45
|
Toss And Wash
| 5-10
|
Tea
| 3-10

Green Malay Similar Strains
If I consistently use the same strain for extended periods I develop a high tolerance to only that strain. This condition is called stagnant strain, and it can happen to you if you only use Green Malay.
So, how do you counteract stagnant strain? It’s simple, you rotate between at least two strains. The strains can belong to the same color group or not. It’s completely up to you.
However, if you do decide to stay within the same color group, the following two strains produce the same effects as Green Malay. One strain is more potent and the other is less potent.
Green Maeng Da
Green Maeng Da is the most potent and euphoric strain on the market. It’s slightly more potent than Green Malay. Hence, it’s the perfect rotating partner.
Green Hulu
Green Hulu also produces all the same effects as Green Malay, but with a slightly weaker punch. That doesn’t mean Green Hulu is weak, it’s just less potent than Green Malay.
What to Look For When Buying Green Malay
Organic
Make sure the Green Malay is organic, which means it's free from heavy metals, pesticides, and harmful pathogens like Salmonella and/or E.Coli.
Lab Tests
Lab tests verify the kratom is organic and certifies the concentration of alkaloids. Thus, allowing you the customer to compare the potency between various vendors.
Customer Guarantee
Last but not least, high quality products are typically backed up by a good customer guarantee. Check to see if the vendor offers a decent customer guarantee, as that may indicate the Green Malay is good quality.
How to Store Green Malay Kratom
Okay, so you’ve purchased Green Malay, now you need to preserve the strain’s alkaloids by properly storing your Green Malay.
All kratom strains share three common enemies:
Sunlight
Heat
Humidity
Therefore the worst places to store kratom are going to include:
Stoves
Sinks
Tubs
Showers
Ovens
Chimneys
Window sills
Inside of cars
The best places to store kratom are:
Drawers
Pantries
Cupboards
Cabinets
Contrary to popular belief, storing kratom in a clear container is not detrimental to its potency. I sometimes put my Green Malay in a glass jar.
As long as you keep it away from the three elements mentioned above you will be fine.
