MMM Speciosa Brand Review [2023 Update]

Many kratom vendors have come and gone since the herb first arrived in the United States. However, a select few have survived in the industry for over a decade. MMM Speciosa is one such brand that has stood the test of time. But are they still worth considering today?

Let’s find out in this MMM Speciosa review. I want to discuss the brand’s history, its existing product range, and whether the company is credible and legit. So, if this kratom vendor has caught your eye, keep reading to get fully up to speed.

I will begin our MMM Speciosa journey with an introduction to the brand.

MMM Speciosa was founded in 2010 and is located in Austin, Texas. The Lone Star State is home to several kratom vendors - however, not many have this level of experience. MMM Speciosa started as a one-person shop but has since become known all around the US.

The founder had discovered kratom sometime before and decided to utilize their tech knowledge by opening an online store. MMM Speciosa quickly spotted the potential for online kratom companies and soon emerged as a market leader.

As a long-standing vendor, MMM Speciosa is acutely aware of the kratom industry’s many trials and tribulations. The brand has been supportive of the American Kratom Association (AKA) and used its position to inform and inspire people.

MMM Speciosa currently accepts payment via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. The vendor also provides a free 25-gram sample with every order and three free samples if you spend $125 or more. What a brilliant way of rewarding customers.

I liked the simplicity of MMM Speciosa’s website, which is laser-focused on marketing the brand’s kratom powder. The site is easy to browse, and you won’t struggle to find what you want.

MMM Speciosa primarily specializes in kratom powder, but the vendor also offers a small range of capsules. This is what you need to know about them.

As of July 2023, MMM Speciosa stocks over a dozen kratom powder strains. The collection includes long-time favorites and hidden gems, such as Baik Bali and Kaya Maeng Da. The variety is impressive, and I appreciate the intention to provide customers with something different.

MMM Speciosa takes due care and attention with each strain, posting a photo and product description. For instance, we learn that Emerald Thai is a unique green vein Thai kratom promising balance and harmony. You can buy 1 kilogram of this strain for $169.99.

Judging by the website layout, it looks like MMM Speciosa changes its kratom powder lineup every so often - not that this is a problem! The vendor’s kratom powder is sold in three bag sizes. However, some strains have fewer buying options than others.

Kratom capsules are a go-to product for those who detest the herb’s flavor. Other benefits include discretion, dosage consistency, and portability. Unfortunately, kratom capsules do not offer the same value for money as bags of loose kratom powder.

When I checked in July 2023, MMM Speciosa only had two kratom capsule strains for sale. Maybe I caught them on a bad day; otherwise, it is an underwhelming selection. The brand fills the capsules with pure, milled Mitragyna speciosa and packages them in resealable bags.

MMM Speciosa sells kratom capsules by weight, not by the number of capsules. Therefore, it is unclear how much kratom is in each cap. Moreover, I could not establish whether the vendor uses gelatin or plant-based capsules. Maybe their customer service team could provide clarity.

With 13 years in the kratom industry and counting, MMM Speciosa is obviously an authentic business. However, whether a vendor is “legit” comes down to factors like lab testing, return policies, and seals of approval from trusted independent bodies.

MMM Speciosa talks about inspecting each product lot and overall quality control. There is also a lot number attached to each strain. However, as of July 2023, the vendor does not upload third-party certificates of analysis (COAs) on its website.

That is disappointing, although there could be an explanation. While there is no information to suggest so, MMM Speciosa may show COAs upon request or make them available with your order. I don’t see why they would bother having “lot numbers” if they didn’t have testing data.

The American Kratom Association (AKA) has not certified MMM Speciosa as a GMP-qualified vendor. That doesn't mean they aren't legit, but getting a thumbs-up from the AKA helps with credibility.

MMM Speciosa’s About US page states the vendor is working to conform with “Good Manufacturing Principles” (it should say practices). This is encouraging, although it won’t mean much until the company’s name and logo appears on the AKA website.

MMM Speciosa does not accept returns “due to the risk of product contamination.” But the company is open to replacements and refunds if you contact them within 30 days. I imagine that complaints are assessed on a case-by-case basis. 

This is an unusual policy. Most vendors accept returns (although many brands refuse to take back opened products). Without knowing how MMM Speciosa’s refund policy works in reality, I cannot determine if it is fair or not.

Reddit is perfect for discovering more about a kratom brand’s reputation. And MMM Speciosa’s enduring presence has made the vendor a frequent topic of conversation on kratom subreddits.

MMM Speciosa was reviewed by a now-deleted user on r/Vendorsofkratom in December 2022. The Redditor seemed satisfied with their order but bemoaned the brand’s steep prices.

Frustratingly, the other threads I found discussing MMM Speciosa were from several years ago. In a post on r/kratom in August 2017, one Redditor noted that while the vendor’s kratom products are expensive, they donate plenty of money to the AKA.

Redditor u/timelessdrifter offered a balanced perspective on MMM Speciosa in another 2017 thread on r/kratom. They said, “I think the kratom is good, but not better than an equivalent amount purchased from…” And they went on to list several vendors.

Overall, MMM Speciosa has a good reputation for kratom quality. However, the high prices are a sticking point for many kratom users.

MMM Speciosa has some of the more expensive kratom powders on the market. However, they sometimes offer substantial discounts, and you can bring costs down by buying in large amounts. Even so, $169.99 for 1 kilo of kratom powder will be a dealbreaker for some shoppers.

As of July 2023, MMM Speciosa does not offer free shipping, so prepare to add another few bucks to your order. Given the vendor’s prices, I am surprised free shipping is not part of the service.

I am not convinced MMM Speciosa’s kratom products are worth the money. Their prices would be sky-high anywhere, never mind for a brand without AKA certification and publicly available lab results.

Sure, you might have an excellent time with MMM Speciosa’s kratom. But you could enjoy a similar quality experience elsewhere for less.

MMM Speciosa is one of the kratom industry’s old guard. They have seen it all and are still going strong, and the community will be forever grateful for their donations to the AKA. However, other vendors have caught up, and there is an argument that MMM Speciosa is getting left behind. If you want value for money, this kratom brand might not cut it.
