Many kratom users have criticized the “small-batch kratom” term for becoming nothing but a meaningless marketing phrase. While I accept it doesn’t have as much weight as it did, there are still some excellent small-batch vendors around. So, is Sakti Botanicals one of them?

This in-depth brand review has the answer! Whether you are well-versed in small-batch kratom or haven’t heard the term before, you should find something of interest in this Sakti Botanicals analysis. Areas of discussion include the vendor’s approach, products, prices, and reputation.

Let’s start with some general details about Sakti Botanicals.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The information in our articles are represented solely as the opinions of the respective authors, who do not claim to be medical professionals. We are not medical experts, just kratom enthusiasts.

Introducing Sakti Botanicals

Sakti Botanicals is an organic, small-batch kratom retailer and wholesaler based in Asheville, North Carolina. The company trades as Sakti Botanicals LLC and has a brick-and-mortar dispensary in Asheville and an online store.

Sakti Botanicals specializes in 100% premium wild-harvested kratom. The Mitragyna speciosa (kratom) leaves are hand-picked from the Borneo jungle in Indonesia. Sakti has uploaded photos and videos so you can watch the harvesting process taking place. This is a nice touch!

The brand has a “nature knows best” perspective. They note that wild-harvested Borneo kratom has a higher alkaloid content than farm-cultivated kratom. Sakti also warns about the risks of “plantation kratom,” which is often grown with pesticides banned in the USA but not in Indonesia.

The vendor’s kratom is produced in “clean, indoor facilities.” Sakti Botanicals argues that consistent and superior quality kratom is easier to cultivate and harvest when working with small batches. Furthermore, the company claims to operate at “Western hygienic standards.” But you don’t need to take Sakti at its word - the kratom brand has a strict quality control process which we will look more at later.

The Sakti Botanicals website has some fascinating blog posts. And the level of knowledge in these articles tells me the vendor is run by kratom enthusiasts and experts.

Sakti accepts all major credit cards and provides same-day shipping on orders placed by 2pm EST. As of July 2023, the store offers a 15% discount if paying with Bitcoin.

Discover the Sakti Botanicals Kratom Range

Sakti Botanicals may have the tiniest kratom selection I have ever seen. Not that anybody should be surprised - this is a small-batch vendor, after all! With a store consisting solely of kratom powder, Sakti clearly has a philosophy of quality over quantity.

Kratom Powder

Sakti has a four-strain collection of kratom powder. The company also offers split kilos and Variety Packs. Each product contains 100% organic, pure-leaf, wild-harvested kratom. And every leaf of every strain is ethically sourced and sustainably harvested.

Premium Red Borneo: This strain is partially fermented before being slowly sun-dried. The process helps convert mitragynine into mitragynine pseudoindoxyl and 7-OH-hydroxymitragynine, two more intense kratom alkaloids. Sakti’s most recent Premium Red Borneo batch tested at 1.26% mitragynine. But given the complex alkaloid makeup, do not underestimate this red vein strain.

Premium Green Maeng Da: Sakti harnesses a rapid sun-drying process to give this Green Maeng Da a fresh aroma and a hefty 1.7% mitragynine content. This is reportedly the vendor’s most popular kratom powder content. Green kratom is regarded as having balanced effects.

Premium White Borneo: The brand’s Wild White Borneo kratom tests at 1.53% mitragynine and has a lightly colored appearance. Sakti uses a slow, shade-drying process to create an alkaloid profile typical of a white vein kratom powder.

Private Reserve: The vendor’s Private Reserve GMD has a mighty 1.88% mitragynine content, which explains the slightly higher cost. One kilogram of this kratom powder comes in at $115, compared to $90 for the brand’s other powders.

This Sakti strain is both hand-picked and selected. And it undergoes swift processing and shipping to ensure it reaches customers in the best possible condition.

Those interested in split kilos can purchase a three-way split or four combinations of two-way splits. These all cost $90, which is no more expensive than one kilo of a single strain.

Every kratom powder product from Sakti Botanicals is sold in the following five bag sizes. Bag Sizes: 1 ounce, 4 ounces, 250 grams, 500 grams, 1000 grams (1 kilogram)

Is Sakti Botanicals Legit?

According to Open Corporates, Sakti Botanicals LLC was incorporated in February 2020. I can say with concrete certainty that this is a genuine kratom vendor run by people who care about the herb. And they are serious about transparency and third-party testing.

Some companies say the right things about lab testing. Others even publish several third-party certificates of analysis (COAs). But Sakti goes even further. They work with a well-known and reputable independent lab (SC Labs) and publish a new COA with every fresh kratom batch.

This is the gold standard in third-party kratom testing and shows the utmost respect for customers. Sakti is not trying to fob you off with a COA from months or years ago. And with a scannable QR code on their product packaging, anyone can pull up the testing data with ease.

Sakti Botanicals is not certified by the American Kratom Association (AKA) as a GMP-qualified vendor. However, it is relatively rare for a small kratom store to acquire this accreditation. It would be superb if they had it, but not doing so doesn't make me think less of them.

Sakti’s 30-day return policy does not extend to “opened/used products.” Therefore, you cannot send a product back simply because you don’t like it. However, this policy does allow you to check the lab results via the QR code and verify that everything is up to standard.

Sakti Botanicals Brand Reputation

Sakti’s kratom dispensary in Asheville, NC, has a 5.0/5 rating from over 50 Google reviews. Satisfied customers praised the vendor’s prices and kratom quality. I found more compliments for Sakti on some of Reddit’s best-known kratom subreddits.

In 2023, u/TMVtaketheveil888 talked about their Sakti Botanicals experience on r/kratomreview100. They enjoyed the energizing effects of Wild White Borneo and had an excellent time with the vendor’s top-tier Private Reserve Green MD.

Redditor u/Ok_Dot_3533 posted a glowing review of Sakti Botanicals on r/smallbatchkratom in 2022. They shared thoughts on the brand’s White Borneo, Red Borneo, and Green MD, before finishing with, “Will definitely be ordering again, some of the best leaf I’ve had.”

I note that several Redditors agreed in the comments of both posts. This groundswell of opinion in support of Sakti Botanicals tells me this vendor is true to its word. Sakti has a stellar brand reputation because it is genuinely producing premium kratom.

Are Kratom Products from Sakti Botanicals Worth the Money?

I believe so. Small-batch kratom vendors are often expensive, and with the effort that goes into Sakti’s products, I was anticipating some steep prices. But the brand’s premium kratom powders retail at $90 per kilo and only $7.99 per ounce.

Even the Private Reserve powder is affordable at $115 per kilo. This is outstanding value for potent, third-party tested kratom exported from Indonesia to the U.S. at a faster-than-usual rate.

Moreover, Sakti provides free shipping on orders over $75. Small companies don’t always offer free shipping. Therefore, this also reflects well upon them. And it means you can trust the prices in their store!

Not being able to get a refund on opened products is perhaps the only drawback. However, Sakti offers 3-ounce and 12-ounce samplers, so you can experience their three premium strains while keeping costs down. This could be a good place to start if you are curious but unconvinced.

Final Thoughts

Sakti Botanicals is proof there are still some legit small-batch kratom vendors in 2023. This brand’s small collection packs a bigger punch than the gigantic product ranges we see in certain stores. And best of all, Sakti combines third-party testing transparency with reasonable prices.
