I will start with an introduction to the Taunton Bay Soap Company. 

Taunton Bay Soap Company (TBSC) was founded in 2014 and is based in Sullivan, Maine. The company’s motto is “Changing Lives with Leaves”, and they aim to achieve that with tested and trusted kratom products and an array of natural herbs.

TBSC has a brick-and-mortar shop in Sullivan but reaches Americans around the country with its online store. The vendor adopts a friendly and personalized approach - the short biographies of TBSC’s co-owners and employees give you a flavor of what they are all about.

TBSC also has wholesale kratom options for businesses. You must contact them directly with your company to get access to wholesale pricing. But they claim to cater to all business sizes and needs.

While TBSC is not exclusively a kratom vendor, the herb makes up the biggest section of their online store. As of June 2023, they have over 40 products in their kratom category.

The brand maintains an active social media presence, with accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, LinkedIn, and Snapchat. TBSC may be a small business from Maine, but they sure have a savvy marketing strategy.

TBSC has a kratom product for everyone. Powder fans will appreciate the variety of strains and blends available, while those who prefer convenience can find it from the vendor’s capsules, extract shots, and gummies. Let’s delve deeper into each product type.

I was impressed with what I saw. Each product had several COAs, with new results published regularly to keep them relevant. The tests analyze kratom potency and purity and are conducted by respected third-party labs, including Santé Laboratories.

TBSC evidently cares about third-party testing. They even have an FAQ page explaining what customers should look for when reading lab results - a vendor selling sketchy products would not be so actively transparent. TBSC wants you to know they are doing things by the book.

As of June 2023, TBSC is not an American Kratom Association (AKA) GMP-qualified vendor. However, I am less concerned about a small business not having this certification than I would about a larger company. TBSC still does plenty to show that it is a legitimate brand.

TBSC has accrued a fantastic rating on Google, with a 4.8/5 rating from more than 130 reviews. These are stellar numbers given the independence of the Google review system. People love the quality of TBSC’s kratom and other herbal products, as well as the vendor’s customer service.

When considering this question, we must first appreciate that we are dealing with a premium kratom vendor selling third-party tested products. The COAs for TBSC’s kratom products are superb, and the company has a brilliant reputation. These qualities are worth paying more for.

Yet TBSC still offers value for money, with 1 kilogram of kratom powder priced at an affordable $87. Even small pouches aren’t too expensive, with 60 grams available for $12.95.

TBSC currently charges $13.50 for its Beetle Juice Kratom Shot, which isn’t too bad for nigh-on 200mg of kratom alkaloids. And whichever kratom gummy option you choose, each 15mg mitragynine edible costs a mere $1.10. Kratom edibles are often much more expensive.

Overall, I would say TBSC’s kratom products are very fairly priced and well worth the money. You could easily spend more at a vendor that doesn’t even provide third-party lab results.

Taunton Bay Soap Company might be a small business, but this kratom vendor is much more than that. Indeed, their approach to product quality and affordable pricing is something that bigger and better-known companies could learn from. TBSC is one of the kratom industry’s hidden gems.
